Updating Etho Protocol Gateway Nodes
This guide shows how to update Gateway Nodes only. For Masternodes and Service Nodes, see the other guide in this category.

Introduction

To install the latest version of the Etho Protocol Gateway Node software, simply run the commands below. Keep monitoring the server for about 15 minutes after the update to make sure all is working properly.

Updating Gateway Nodes

Login/SSH to your VPS server using the ether1node account.

3
chmod +x upgrade-debian.sh
4
./upgrade-debian.sh -gatewaynode

sudo journalctl -f -u ether1node
Copied!

CentOS/RHEL/Fedora

3
chmod +x upgrade-rpm.sh

If the ./upgrade-debian.sh -gatewaynode command fails, try pre-pending the word sudo to it.
You will be asked to input the password for ether1node before some of the commands run
The last command will leave a status window running to show you the output of the Etho Protocol Node status. You can stop the output by pressing CTRL+C
